This intermediate level course offers a simple and short way to gain significant understanding of one of the defining issues of our generation. It will help prepare you and your organisation for change; it will highlight where that change is most needed and where the opportunities lie.
The Climate Solutions Professional qualification offers learners an easy, time-efficient route to understanding climate change and its relevance to their organisation. Critically, it will explain a range of solutions, and the associated opportunities and challenges, so that participants can consider how to respond appropriately. Four online modules will short-cut vast amounts of literature and learning, providing a good basic understanding of, and confidence in, the science.
The course consists of four online modules and two workshops. Each module takes 3 to 4 hours to complete and throughout the modules there are sections designed to help you apply it to your own organisation, plus quizzes to help to test your knowledge.
At the final workshop you’ll start to develop a Climate Action Plan for you or your organisation. There will also be the opportunity to discuss any sector specific issues or delve deeper into some of the topics. If your organisation already has a Climate Action Plan or if you’re doing this course as an individual, we will provide alternative development activities. The workshops are run as two half-day sessions, which can be done online or in-person. You can start the modules anytime, and workshops are held regularly throughout the year.
